Draughts / Checkers

What is checkers :

Draughts or Checkers is a group of strategy board games for two players that involves diagonal moves of uniform game pieces and captures by jumping over opponent pieces. From the standard starting position, both players can guarantee a draw or win with a play.

How to Play Checkers :

  1. Setting up the board

The board is made up of 64 dark and light squares which appear in 8 rows of 8, a lot like chess. There are 32 light squares and 32 dark squares. Each player place has 12 pieces and they are both placed on the dark squares in the first three rows closest to them. Each of these three rows should have a total of 4 checkers.

2. How the checker pieces move

checker : the checker pieces can only move in one diagonal direction and can only capture an opponent by jumping over them on the board

king checker : they move the exact same way but they cannot be attacked by normal checkers, they can only be attacked by other king checkers. king checkers are obtained by successfully moving your piece to the end of the other board.

3. How to win in checkers:

The way you win in checkers is quite simple. You either clear your opponent from the board or draw with your opponent
